Our Story
In 1989, United Cerebral Palsy of Arkansas launched The Butterfly Project. This project was the pilot for a revolutionary way to offer therapies for preschool aged children in Arkansas. We sent therapists into existing preschools around Central Arkansas to help children with disabilities thrive in their existing preschool setting.
In 1992, we grew to become The Butterfly Learning Center and opened up a full-service EIDT at our Rodney Parham campus in Little Rock. Since its inception, The Butterfly Learning Center has seen more than 500 graduates come through our program, successfully transitioning to Kindergarten and a life of their own. Because of our long history, some of our graduates have even brought their own children back to the same preschool they attended as children. We’re honored to have served Arkansans for generations!
