Americorps VISTA

What is AmeriCorps VISTA?
With AmeriCorps VISTA, you’ll address community challenges where the need is greatest. Serve in an office setting and help fight poverty while building your professional skills and earning additional benefits. Role of AmeriCorps VISTA Member Members make a full-time, one-year commitment to alleviate poverty in a particular community. Their role in alleviating poverty is to mobilize community resources, increase the capacity of the low-income community to achieve its goals, and to ensure that the activities initiated or expanded are sustained by the community.
What VISTA positions are available at Achieve Community Alliance?
We have 5 open VISTA spots helping Arkansans fight poverty and other challenges. ^ Digital Records Formulator - helps create databases and digital record software ^ Employment Outreach Coordinator - help create a sustainable outreach program for Achieve Employment ^ Life and Community Organizer - create a database and organization system for our adult services and clients ^ Standard Operating Procedures Creator VISTA - Create and write out standard operating procedures for Achieve Employment Services ^ Programs VISTA - Learn and absorb all aspects of ACA programs, taking that understanding and helping streamline processes around documentation for the programs. VISTA is a great program and will make a huge difference here at ACA! Serve with purpose.
What are the benefits of serving through the VISTA program?
^ Monthly Living Allowance ($$$) ^ Fight poverty and build sustainable resources that will be used for years to come! ^ End of Service award of over $8,000 toward any qualifying college, university, or trade school of your choice

Currently, ACA is caught in the national hiring freeze of the AmeriCorps VISTA program. We are optimistic that this freeze will lift in the fall of 2024. Applications to the VISTA program take about 45 days to process so get your application in queue today!
